Job description
Spectra Tech, Inc. is hiring for a Senior Drafter/Designer in Mercury, Nevada, or Remotely!

Job details:

This position is a preferred local position, but we are open to a remote position for a well-qualified candidate in a nearby state, with visits to the site. The location for this position is at Mercury. This position is to provide support to the Site Power operations and engineering staff by preparing high voltage electrical and wiring drawings for site power comprised of transmission, substation, and distribution elements up to 138 kV. Electrical design, power transmission and distribution experience, with substations or the drawing design/construction of distribution lines. High voltage drafting experience, 4860V and up. Support to include routine layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, sketches and diagrams and all views and dimensions necessary for construction. Supports engineers and designers of all disciplines through a variety of tasks including proposal drawings, red marks, and sketches. Additional support will include locating, updating, and developing new drawings or updating existing drawings to address a backlog in configuration management needs.

Education and Experience:

CADD IV- 10 years High School & Tech Training 1

Education/Experience Substitutions: 1. Education – An Associate’s degree will substitute for 1-year experience and a Bachelor’s degree will substitute for 3-years’ experience.

Graphic Designer III- 10 years experience Bachelor’s degree Training Certification 1,2

Graphic Designer IV- 12 years experience Bachelor’s degree Training Certification 1,2

Education/Experience Substitutions:

1. Education – An advanced degree will substitute for 3 years of experience.

2. Vendor certification - Software certifications from established industry vendors (i.e., Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver, Adobe Creative Suite for Windows, etc.) will substitute for 3 years’ experience.
